Description
Shot in London in 2000 for GQ Magazine, Walking the Dog reflects the reality that photography — like a lot of my work — isn’t always about glamorous locations or perfect weather, especially when you’re living in London and trying to shoot outside the studio. This image was photographed in the pouring rain on a freezing cold winter’s day.
I had been thinking about this shot for a while and hired the dog specifically for the shoot to bring the idea to life. Inna Zobova was the perfect model for it. She understood the concept immediately and had the presence — and the legs — to make the composition work exactly as I had imagined.
