Jill Sanders

Jill Sanders is a fine art landscape photographer based in Palos Verdes, California. Her images stir a sense of stillness and peace upon the viewer as she blends her painterly effects of light and shadow with long exposure techniques.

Jill lived and studied in NYC in the late eighties/early nineties and received a BFA in Photography from Parson’s School of Design in 1991. She has travelled extensively throughout her career to broaden her social perspective of our planet as well as document the infinite beauty that it offers.

Jill has had to overcome a number of major illnesses, including a brain tumor, and feels that her battle through the physical and mental trauma has made her more aware of what she possesses and how best to use those attributes.

Jill is currently working on a local project which highlights the minimal tones and shapes of our local seascapes. A spouting horn, lone cave, swirling tide, all offer hidden messages that breathe the purity and secrets of nature. Our own backyard offers the perspective that so many of us seek in faraway lands.
