Description
“Round the Clock I” by Horst P. Horst is a 1987 silver gelatin print that depicts a cropped, disembodied figure, reminiscent of his earlier Surrealist work. The image features a woman’s legs emerging from a wide net petticoat, with dark shadows and bright highlights, characteristic of his 1930s fashion photography. The photograph is signed by the artist on the reverse and is often considered an example of his mastery of fashion photography and avant-garde techniques.
Provenance: From a private collection, previous bought from the Hackelbury Gallery in 2003
