Description
Pan & Echo: A Journey of Self-Discovery
My paintings, “Pan” and “Echo,” initially explore the contrasting themes of narcissism and echoism, two mythological personality traits that represent opposing extremes. This series was born out of my personal experience navigating a transformative life event – a sudden and profound breakup that led me back to Los Angeles after living in Europe.
The Artistic Process
As I journeyed through intense emotions and experiences, I found myself drawn to the mythological figures of Narcissus and Echo. Through my art, I explored the tensions between these archetypes, oscillating between self-absorption and selflessness. My creative process was marked by epiphanies and revelations, ultimately leading me to Pan, who embodied balance and harmony.
The Role of Echo
Echo emerged as a bridge between the three configurations – narcissism, echoism, and the balanced state embodied by Pan. Through Echo, I found a path back to my core, and my heart was mended in an epiphany of unconditional love.
Artistic Philosophy
My paintings are a reflection of my inner world, a journey of self-discovery and healing. They are my meditation, my struggle, and my triumph. Through my art, I aim to capture the essence of the human experience, exploring themes of love, harmony, and beauty.
